Igoogle was easy to customise, it makes it a more personalised site. I looked at Ping which is very useful for social networking posting to many sites from the one place.

This is a great tool for meetings, training, teleconferencing, library activities and programs, there are endless uses.

Mash-ups

What a great tool to use in the Library for craft sessions, Promoting the library,
there are so many different kinds of arty things to do and design the possiblilities are endless for work and play.

Wikis

Wikis are a great way for staff in a workplace to be able to put a point of view or idea across and have other people add or make their own contribution to what is being discussed. I can see wikis being used quite alot in workplaces and in groups with common interests or goals.

Online applications

I have already experienced these as we have had documents sent to us by our Regional Librarian "Cataloguing Manual" and from the secretary of the Western Zone Libraries
" New Librarians guide" this is a great way for everyone to be able to add information to and to get info around to more people easly.
There are also many applications available without having to purchase software for the like of word, excell programmes.It's fantastic.

I agree with all the comments made about pocasting. The use in libraries would be many and varied, for training, book reviews, promoting library activities, downloading music, talking books etc etc.
